Its mere existence justifies its purpose. It is not required to actively play a role in anything and subsequently held responsible for it— a clock keeps time, wallpapers are forgotten until they start peeling visibly.

And while a clock can be erratic or faulty, there is lesser room for a wallpaper to turn out strange. This means that existence is static and fixed and I do not need to worry about anything.

And it is extremely low maintainence and it is immortal until you deem it unusable.

There are so little obligations and responsibilities attached to a life as a wallpaper.

And wallpapers are omniscient but are seldom ‘seen’. We are so comfortable with it that its existence is taken for granted.

I highly value the philosophy of a wallpaper.
